I live in the Richmond, VA area and there are lots of places with the Tuckahoe name here, ie. Tuckahoe Shopping Square, Tuckahoe Elementary School, Tuckahoe Voting District , and I believe Thomas Jefferson either lived on the Tuckahoe Plantation or went to school there in his youth. I have never heard of Tuckahoe Cherokees. I believe that any Cherokees that ever lived in central VA were long gone by the early 1700s. I would be interested to know if anyone knows of a Cherokee connection.
