No, this was not a hoax. It just wasn't as recent as first thought. The headstones were indeed bulldozed. Ms. Doyle is helping us, I am asking about the bodies, etc. Below is the latest e-mail received on this matter. I am also asking if the guy who did the bulldozing was fined, etc. Will send a follow-up ASAP. You all have been so wonderful in helping by calling, sending e-mail, and with your suggestions. Something needs to be done about this not just whenever it happens or after the fact as in this case. There should be stiffer fines or a good 'ole lynchin' LOL. Wendy, I checked at the court house today for a list of names for the old cemetery, but had no luck. Gerry Payne hurt his back and is going to have surgery right away. In fact, he might have had it today, I don't know. They sent me to talk to an employee of Kenneth Crutchfield's district. He didn't know anything about that cemetery, but he's going to check on it tomorrow. He said we might be able to find a list of names for that cemetery at the library. I'll check that out. The managing editor of the newspaper, Ms. Doyle, called me today wanting to know what information I had on the cemetery. She said they had been inundated with calls and e-mails from as far away as California. If I find that list of names, I'll let you know. Later. Ed
