Nancy, I don't think I will be able to help you much, I don't know what time frame your Laniers are in. It is my understanding that most all the Laniers are related to the first Lanier that came to the US. I have not researched this line yet. What info I do have came from a cousin who found some queries I had put up for Texas. He has been researching for a while...at any rate, my Lanier line migrated from Brunswick Co. VA. to Mecklenburg Co, VA. to Rutherford Co. TN. The info I have on my Laniers is as follows: See if any of it looks familiar to you.... Lemuel Lanier, b. 1743, Brunswick Co., Va.; d. feb. 1817 Rutherford Co, Va., Probate Apr. 1817. Parents are Benjamin Lanier, b. 1712, and Elizabeth WARREN ; Lemuel m. Lucy MALONE b.28 Oct. 1745; parents: Thomas MALONE and Millicent Chappelle. Children of Lemuel Lanier and Lucy Malone: 1. Patricia Martha Lanier b. 1768, Mecklenburg Co., Va.; m. John S. Fagan on 05 Jan. 1786. (My line) 2. Elizabeht Lanier b. 1770, Rutherford Co., TN; m. Drury Floyd on 25. Nov. 1791 . They moved to Rutherford Co. TN 3. Mary Lanier b. 1778 ; m. Abner Kelly in 1798.
