    1. [OKROOTS] Marriage of 1892
    2. Renea Burkholder
    3. Please provide any insight as to what/why concerning the following: 1. Marriage announcement in newspaper, Baxter Springs, Cherokee County, KS, Sept, 1892 Married in Camp Logan in front of Milt Drake's tent by Rev Benj. F. Jones - C. Mickle of Cabin Creek, IT to Sadie Webb of Miami Nation. 2. Declaration, Record of Marriage Marriage in Cherokee County, KS in 1892 between Mickle of IT, Cherokee Nation and Webb if IT, Cherokee Nation. As far as known at this time, both parties were white, neither claimed Native American. Did the marriage take place in KS because that was the closest legal place for whites to marry? Was there a Camp Logan in Kansas? Was it located in Cherokee co? Was this a military installation and therefore would have been a place for marriage of whites in IT? I have located Cabin Creek in IT of OK, very near to Miami Nation area of Cherokee Nation. Thanks!
