My 11 year old daughter and 8 year old son were terrified to see a white funnel cloud already on the ground and already whipping debris through the air as it came right at us through a wheat field. My husband stopped the car at an intersection to discuss what to do...try to get back to my folks house where they had a cellar or try to make a run for it in the car. The tension was high...finally my son piped up and said, "Well, turn one way or another you old fool...we're gonna get killed sittin' here!" The usual discipline for calling an elder an "old fool" was lost in our laughter as we set out for my folk's cellar. The tornado, of course, dissapated (as they often do in Oklahoma) and we went about our business soon after the sighting. Still have to chuckle from time to time. --part0_907600274_boundary--
