Did anyone else notice the typo here? This might answer some of the confusion. When I read the original from Vicki (which I deleted), I saw that in one sentence she had written Keota and in another sentence she had written Koeta. COWETA and KOETA sound the same and could have been misspelled on some buildings in that town. It is overlooking little things like this that has caused some researchers to claim that my great-grandmother was having babies when she was 9 years old. (Mattie, older sister Mollie...kind of look the same especially on a census record) Mattie's mother-in-law was having them when she was 54 years old!
