When I went to school the teachers told us that most people were born, lived and died within 25 miles of one place. BULL !!!!!!!!!!!! According to my family, and several others I know of, these people would have to be buried in concrete to keep them in one place. Candace, your family isn't to bad. It will explain a lot about the confusion due to census records. To be fair, these people did the best job they could. Often they took information from the neighbor or whoever happened to be there at the time. I, and I think most people, tend to take census information with a grain of salt. Rule #1 - VERIFY, VERIFY, VERIFY. Check as many records as possible and look for more. corelate all the information you collect and do your best to weed out the extremes.
