    1. [OKROOTS] CAUDLES
    2. Hi. I have sent this request to a couple of other list. My moms will celebrate her 89th birthday soon. She has bad heart trouble and very bad arthtitis. It seems like she is in the beginning stages of Alzheimers. My request is this. My brother and I are trying to finish a book and photo album of all the families. We are trying to find some pictures and or articles of the Caudle Family. Isham Wesley Caudle was in Oklahoma from around 1889 to 1908. We believe him and his family were part of one of the OK land runs. Is there a book or newspaper article etc., which might list the people in the land runs? The Caudles we believe were in Rogers County. Isham's son, Ross, was a close friend of Will Rogers. My brother and I wish to thank everyone on this list for their help now and in the past. Not only the list members, but the List Mom has made this list as great as it is. May God Bless You and Yours to all. Thanks Avie and Paul

    3. The book contains100 pages so I'm not even a quarter of the way thru it yet. It would have been much quicker if I had simply scanned the pages and saved them as graphics but I wanted the search engines to be able to find the names so it's taking much longer as I have to scan the pages in, run them thru a text conversion program and then fix the mistakes the program makes <g>. And, as most of you know scanning photos and getting them ready to go on-line is also time consuming. This book has a lot of photos. I'll let everyone know when the next installment is up. 3. Great job, Linda! How many pages long is the book? My Hall family came from SC right around 1900 to Logan County, but I wonder if this Hall family may be related. I see on page 7 that H.C. Hall, the founder of Tulsa, went from Tennessee to Kansas in 1869, and that he and J.M. Hall, his brother, settled in Tulsa in 1882. This was not the route or timing of my family, but does anyone have more details on their family? What were the complete names of H.C. and J.M.? They are probably a completely separate Hall family from mine, but it is always worth looking into! LILLIAN was my Grandmother---and her sister were MY AUNTS I never met them.. I have their pictures. I have their DAWES Numbers.- -I found Dads uncle HAROLD WALKER tho':) and there is a possibility that one of the George's on the list was related to this family group. LILLIAN I (my grandmother) was born in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) her mother was LILLIAN A. JOHNSON daughter of JOHN W. JOHNSON WHITE and ALCEY RAPER CHEROKEE, and LILLIAN I WALKER'S father was JAMES L. WALKER son of ROBERT WESLEY WALKER (white man and Supreme Court Justice of the Cherokee nation )and MINERVA JANE TAYLOR CHEROKEE. HAROLD could also have been GROVER H. WALKER.
