    3. ATTN: Genealogy Society of the following counties prior to statehood (during Indian Territory days). Murray County, Ok Carter County, OK Stephens County, OK Cooke County, Texas 1880 to 1900 -- Carter County ...Any information on MAYBERRY, Franklin or Frank his son Henry Hamilton MAYBERRY, daughter Mary or Manny MAYBERRY WORLEY, and daughter Emma Susan MAYBERRY BECK or His wife Mary E. EARLY MAYBERRY (mother of the above three children). They came to Texas then to Indian Territory around early 1800's. I think they first settled around Gainesville, Cooke Co., Texas on arrival from Cass County, MO. I have information that Mary E. EARLY, MAYBERRY, MCGILL, GARNER settled near Marlow, Stephens Co., IT around the early 1890's. There was an article published sometime around the 1960's about the early pioneer school teachers of Marlow. She (Mary E. Garner was noted as an early pioneer teacher there in Marlow and a picture of her and her school children was published in the article). She was my great grandmother who was first married to my greatgrandfather Frank(lin) MAYBERRY. I am searching for his parents names and if he had any brothers or sisters (siblings). He disappeared from the Census after 1870 in Cass Co., Mo. My question is did he die in Missouri or did he divorce or desert the family. My ggrandma (Mary) married to D. N. McGill on Dec 18, 1878 they had a son named Noble born sometime before the 1880 Census of Cass Co., Mo. I would like to find out what happened to him (NOBLE McGILL). Please notify me with any references where I can find any information on the above, or send me copies of the information. I would gladly reimburse your expense for copies and mailing costs. If I can be of any help to anyone in your area I would be glad to do a library search of available information on file for someone who is searching in this Muskogee County. Thanks, Frank Mayberry

    3. Hello Beth & Jim, I would try locating the address for Capitol Hill - they may even have a web site. I personally prefer http://www.infospace.com for address and telephone information. I haven't attempted to obtain assistance from any churches for records. However, I believe they will probably provide historical membership information. The funeral homes can be a great resource for information. I'm still tracking a maiden name for a ggg grandmother from AL. To date, I've been unable to locate a death record. However, the funeral home provided their record and it provided more information than I could have hoped for. Finally, I have several businesses that I've run across that are probably documented in Oklahoma County Historical books. Does anyone have recommendations for Oklahoma county historical books? 3. As far as we can tell, most of our LITTLE and WOLF families settled in the Oklahoma City area. Does anyone have knowledge of searching land records, newspapers, etc for that area between 1890 and 1930? We have some obits from an Oklahoma City newspapers which have given us hints. Both families lived in south OKC around Capitol Hill. We think the LITTLEs may have belonged to the Capitol Hill Baptist Church. Does anyone know how to reach them for membership records? The WOLFs were Lutheran and/or Methodists. Any suggestions would be appreciated as we are novice-level geneologists. H.G. LITTLE owned a large dairy located at SW 59th and Western in the '20s.
