Please, it is sooooo much easier to scan 30 messages or more if you CAPITALIZE ALL SURNAMES in you messages. It really is helpful if you are writing about your family, the Smiths, and mention the Jones family as well -- if you capitalize BOTH names -- and all names. Ofcourse, this is just a request. It would be much appreciated. Carole S.
I am researching the Lynch, Giles, Vaughn, Phipps and Long families. I am also working on a page dedicated to the Texomaland Area. Any help with Texoma information would be greatly appreciated. Please view my genealogy information at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Flats/6056/index.html If anyone is interested in submitting their email address as a researcher researching one of the above listed surnames or in submitting partial census, cemetery, or other records to me to be posted, please email me. There is also a volunteer lookup section. Not listed yet is lookups for the 1840 and 1850 Mississippi Chickasaw County Census Records. If anyone is interested I am transcribing the two censuses for USGENWEB project census online... I have the 1840 census posted on my page. Tiffany, The names I am looking for are, Robert Turner (Sr). He married Alice Jane Dawson (who also had the names Baxter and Smith - Alice Jane Dawson Baxter Smith). Robert was listed as an intruder in the Creek Nation Olkmulgee in December 1884. His permit of residency was being contested. I don't know why. On 8/6/1885, Robert and Alice had a son and they named him Robert Turner. I do not know if either of them had middle names. The older Robert came from England. He was supposed to have owned a coal mine in Schulter. The younger Robert was married three times. Don't know his first wife's name. Second wife was Rosa Higginbotham, third was Hattie Mira/Marie White. The older Robert should be buried in Olkmulgee. <A HREF="http://mapping.usgs.gov:8888/gnis/owa/MapServer?f_name=Schulter&f_sta te=OK&f_latlong=353052N0955723W&f_ht=.5&f_type=ppl&server=TIGER">USGS GNIS Map Server</A> this is the site for the map that shows Schulter. thanks for your help! Hello Everyone, My mother Jacqueline Rose GREGORY and her twin brother John GREGORY were born on May 5, 1925 in York, Pennsylvania. Their father was listed as William Straining but was actually Rafael Di GREGORIO aka Ralph GREGORY. Their mother was Anna HAINES. I was told they were related to AMATRANO, NATALE (through marriage). Please let me know if you have any information on them. My grandfather Ralph GREGORY owned land in York but it was confiscated by the state sometime in the 1930's when he died. Please help as I am trying so hard to get more info. Thank you and God bless....Judy boju1974@aol.com

Hi everyone: I've added a section called "Stories of Marion Co, AR" - one story by Vicki Roberts is about Marion Co in 1836 and Gladys H Brown donated a transcription of WB Flippin's articles in the Mt. Echo Newspaper to the archives, her hard work can also be found in the "Stories" section. I've added a sample copy of the front page of the Bramble Bush Newsletter which tells the story of the Historical Society and it's beginnings. See it in the Historical Society Section. You can now search the 1880 Marion Co Census and the BLM's Land Records. And read about the Mt Meadow Massacre. In other words - drop by again <VBG>. http://www.rootsweb.com/~armarion Linda lhaasdav@avana.net Home Page: http://www.avana.net/~lhaasdav/Haas.html County Coordinator: Marion Co AR http://www.rootsweb.com/~armarion
