    1. [OKROOTS] Worrell/Edwards Family
    2. Nannette W. Serra
    3. Ever since I heard that my Dad, Morgan WORRELL, had relatives in OK, I've been trying to track them down. Mom believed that Dad's family was originally from OK and Dad told me of a story about traveling out West and staying on a reservation. My Dad and his brother Jones WORRELL were said to have gone to OK one summer to work and I believe they stayed with relatives while there. So far I've found cousins buried in Murray Co, OK. William Worth EDWARDS born 1846, Osburn, Perry County, AL who lived in Mill Creek, Johnston Co, OK and was buried 1909 in Troy Cemetery. And his brother George Washington EDWARDS b 1849 in Tallahatchie, MS and lived in Sulfur, Murray Co, OK buried in Troy Cemetery 1926. William and George Washington EDWARDS were children of Dad's grandmother, Mary Ann EDWARD's brother Nathan EDWARDS. I've just searched the OK cemeteries and found these entries also buried in Murray Co who I think might be relatives. If anyone is searching these lines, maybe you can help me connect these people to relatives in AL. Buried in Murray OK, Palmer Cemetery Jasper EDWARDS b. 1838 d.1909. Mary Dicy EDWARDS b. 1877 d.1913 Luellen WORRELL b. 1856 d.1896 wife of G. W. WORRELL I might even have a photo of Luellen. I have old photo with two young women and written below is what appears to be the words "Seabie & Luellie". Another photo I have of a baby in a christening dress and on the back it says "Luellie, Cecile, Worrell". Anyone with info please contact me: Nannette Worrell Serra [email protected]

    3. I’m searching for 2 branches on my family tree. One is the family of George Harris b 1857 Russell Co., KY m Keziah Stephens – children were Elza Virgil, born 1883; JD or Boyd born 1880 had 2 families of daughters; Tora born 1886, mother of Dewey Crowe; Elmar born 1892; Mary Elizabeth b 1878 married Sylvester Tooley. These descendants are probably found in Pottawatamie County, or possibly near Norman OK. The other is George Hurst, b 1860 probably in Georgia, m Sarah Margaret Baltzegar about 1880. Had children, Philip M. Hurst m Dora Isabel Evans; Oscar; Gussie; and Georgia believed to have married Fred Harris. George & Sarah (Sallie) were in Harrison Twp., Kiowa County, OK on the 1910 census. Can’t find them after that. I believe he died in 1953 also in Kiowa County. If you have any connecting information about these two families, please contact me. They are my brick walls.
