Hi, While looking in the Alamogordo News for Feb. 1908 I found these news items concerning Oklahoma people: R. G. SHIRK of Granite, Oklahoma recently purchased 5 acres south of the blind institute, and now his brother is here with a view of relocating. Mr. THOMAS of Granite, Oklahoma is here for a short visit. He likes the valley and expects to locate before returning home. Al SHIRK and Mr. THOMAS both of Granite, Oklahoma purchased farms just nort of Alamogordo this week. They are men of means and have unbounded faith in this valley Miss May TATUM of Hobart, Oklahoma is visiting here with her aunt, Mrs. John MILLER. C. O. HARDY of El Reno,Oklahoma, formerly of this place, is here at present with a view of returning to Alamogordo to live. Hope these may be of interest to someone. Joan

Hi, I was wondering if someone who has the OK census CD for 1900 could check to see if there is a Herbert Lee Jones or Francis(ces) (Fannie )Anderson listed. Fannie was his mother and I'm trying to find out what happened to her. I do know that Herbert was born in Purcell in 1891 or 92 but I'd like to find out any other info or at least to corroborate his birth....Thanks

No definate county or area, possibly a place called Guthrie. Her grandparents were William and (Susan?) McKee. Emma was born 1892-95. She moved to Oregon, census 1910. She then moved to California, not sure when. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Raydean __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Hi, my name is Faryl Brady and I'm a displaced Okie in Tucson, Arizona. I'm researching several Oklahoma based surnames, however my brick wall is the King Family. My mother's mother was Allegra King and her parents were Mary Seidel and James B. King. I have no information to speak of on any of these individuals as Allegra died when my mother was young. If there is anyone out there related to the Oklahoma King family and recognizes these names, I would love to get in touch with you. Please send me an e-mail. Additionally, I have a book titled "Landers, Williams, Forbes Family History" written by Freda Landrus Misenheimer in 1958. I am more than happy to do lookups in this book. It has some wonderful stories and relatively complete information based upon research completed and compiled by the author. There are numerous other names included in the book that are related by marriage (Beals, Horton, Gentry, etc.). Thank you for your assistance and time. Faryl Brady Tucson, Arizona [email protected]
Could someone lookup John Thomas Walker in Osage Co., OK for 1890?, 1900. He didn't have a family, but he would have been about 23 yrs old in 1890. Could some else or the same person can lookup Lulu Harp(supposed to have been Cherokee) in Osage Co. for 1890. She would have been about 11 yrs old. Maybe staying with a family named Tinker. Thank you for yor time. Jim L. Walker Arizona

Lookin' for date and place of death. suspected in Hampshire County, West Virginia. Was located on l1850 Census age 58, living in household of John & Sarah Cooper. Have not located since that Census. Wife appears to have died sometime prior to the Census of 1850 which cause the split up of the family to various households within that county. Any help will be appreciated.
