I just wanted to Thank everyone for their help, ideas & suggestions on how to find dealers/buyers for my collectible plates. I really appreciate all of it. Thank you for everything. Alli
Hi, First i want to apologize to everyone for this not being genealogy related, but I need some help & there's people all of this country. So here it is. I have collected a bunch of collectible plates purchased from Danbury Mint, Bradford Exchange, etc. they are only (some) about 6 +- yrs.old. I need to find someone, person or business who buys & sells them. I don't know if they're worth more than their face value (what I paid for them). There is no one any where near my area that willing to buy them unless I sell the plates to the for 6$. I have a big box full of them, all in their origianl boxes. I would love to keep them, but I need to sell some of them. Its a bad time for us. So, if anyone knows of a company or a person who I can contact to send the info. on the plates please email me. I've even tried Ebay the web site that sells things like an Auction with no luck & they charge you to sell an item. Please send responses privately to aka2@magiclink.com Again I apologize for this not being genealogy related, but this is my only avenue that won't cost me a fortune (except if I get un-you know what) Thank you Alli

With a special thank you to Sharon Crawford I have in my possession the 1920 Rogers County Census CD. If you know what page your relative is on you can privately e-mail me and I will give you the info on that individual. I will be working on transcribing this information and building an index. The best way to locate the page number for the census is to do a soundex on your surname and check the soundex microfilm. Once you locate your family in the Soundex that will list the page number. New to this list. Am researching the above surnames in this area of OK. Looking for information on Martha Ann ROBERTSON and husband Charley PUETT who owned a small farm in Bushyhead area about 1930-40s. Martha had a sister Ida married to a man named Fred ?, and a brother John ROBERTSON who lived in Locust Grove. Martha's son from first marriage was Edgar CLARK who married Clara ROGERS. Her daughter from married to Charley PUETT was Nancy PUETT who married Sam SIMONS. They moved in and out of this area, settling mostly in Tulsa. Martha died about early 40s, Charley sold farm and moved to AZ. This family line is very difficult to find info on, appreciate any help available. Sandy Simons Cotter Fullerton, CA cotters4@home.com
Looking for any information on Thomas B. Wood, Claremore, Rogers County, Okla. He was born in Marian Co, Ark. in 1847, fought in the civil war for the south, moved to Okla after the war. Last info I have on him is in Jan 1922 when he signed an affidavit for his brother Sylvester to receive a confederate pension. Any info would be appreciated, Lewis Wood at budwood@centex.net
In the early 1940's there was a CECIL COX who used work for my grandfather in the summer time on our farm. He was a very young man then. This was just outside Oologah, close to Claremore in Rogers Co. At the time, on the old road it was abt 20 miles between the two towns. Since the 70's there has been a new road that goes across the Oologah Dam. Now the distance is 12 miles. I was wondering if this Cecil may have been related to your Annie Cox. Years later I heard that he had moved to Ca. I have no more information, sorry to say. Anita
L. A. or Annie CHASTAIN, b. 1874 in Scott or Sebastian Co., AR, was the daughter of Quinn Fry CHASTAIN and Eliza Catherine LILE. Her father d. in Hartford, Sebastian Co., AR, in 1882, and her mother married Nathan RAWLINGS in Briartown, Sequoyah Co., OK in 1890. They moved to Pawnee Co., OK, where, I believe, Annie married Mr. COX, probably abt 1894. Her mother died in 1913 in Claremore, Rogers Co. During WWII, Annie COX and her brother Will CHASTAIN were in CA with the "war effort" and she signed an affidavit stating she was aware of his birth (in Paw Paw, Sequoyah Co.) for Lee Otis MOORE in order to get a delayed birth certificate. This affidavit stated that at the time she signed it, she resided in Claremore, OK. I would like to know anything about Annie COX, her husband and family and where they are buried. I'd also like to know whether they are listed in the 1910 and 1920 census for Rogers Co., and what their children's names were. It's also a possibility that the Annie COX who signed the affidavit COULD have been a child of L. A. or Annie COX.) Also - Is her mother, Eliza Catherine (LILE) CHASTAIN/Rawlings buried in Rogers Co.? Thanks for any help on these families - I'm stumped and confused - can you tell?!! Susan Hudspeth
Merry Christmas all!! On Monday I went to the Blue Mountain site and selected Christmas cards for each mailing list. I have yet to see the notification sent to the list so something tells me that Blue Mountains is lagged and way behind. Maybe the notification will be received by next Christmas <g> I am wanting to warn everyone. I am going to start deleting e-mail addresses that are continually bouncing. This is primarily on the GenConnect boards. So PLEASE make sure your e-mail address is entered correctly when you subscribe to the boards. Pretty Please??? Have a safe and happy holiday. Hello, Looking for info on Harriet Ann Watson Arp who supposedly died in the latter part of 1899 in Claremore, OK. I saw a letter to my grandmother that mentions this and it says she is also buried there. She was originally born in North Carolina and supposedly died after the birth of a son, Leroy Arp in Aug, 1999. Any suggestions on finding where she is buried in Claremore? Brian Lord
