She passed away April 7, 2009 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years and 19 days. Billie grew up in Roger Mills County near Crawford and attended school there. She married Jack Vernon Davis July 20, 1944 at Sayre, Oklahoma. Jack and Billie Rae owned and operated Davis Food Store in Cheyenne for several years. They then moved to Cordell where Jack passed away in 1997. Billie then moved to Oklahoma City to be near her children. Billie Rae was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her 3 sons, Gary Lynn Davis of Denver, Colorado, Vernon Ray Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kerry Dwane Davis of Tuttle, Oklahoma, several grandchildren, 2 brothers Donald F. Cannon of Cordell and Eddie Carroll Cannon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and a host of relatives and friends. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Cheyenne.
