Robert Boyd Montgomery was born September 12, 1918, at Kiowa County and passed away Monday, February 23, 2009, at the age of 90. He was raised in Cheyenne before his marriage to Ema Jean Brittain in 1939. They moved to California in 1954, and then returned to live in Elk City in 1987. He was an oilfield mechanic by trade. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two sisters, a brother, one son and grandson. Survivors include three children, Vickie Moore and her husband, Stan of Elk Cituy, Bobby Montgomery and his wife, Frances of Antioch, California and Jerry Montgomery of Medford, Oregon and several grand and great grandchildren.
