She passed away February 14, 2008 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 17 years and 3 months. Lacey moved to Lincoln, Nebraska with her mother and adopted father Chris Rhodes, before moving with her parents to Sweetwater, Oklahoma and later to Elk City in 2003 Lacey was currently a junior at Elk City High School where she had been active in FFA and Choir. She had worked at Pizza Hut and was currently working at Dutch's. She was an OU fan all the way! She loved shopping, singing and dancing, gazing at the stars, going hunting and fishing with her Dad, four-wheeling, mudding, watching football games, watching movies, being out in the rain, and hangin out with her friends and family. She was a member of the Grandview Assembly of God Church. She was preseded in death by her maternasl grandmother and uncle, Allen. She is survived by her parents, Melisa Rhodes and Scott Bell, Elk City, Oklahoma; Michael Gilbert and wife, Kelly, Russellville, AR; Chris Rhodes, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; 3 brothers, Collin Rhodes, Pyton Rhodes, both of Elk City, Oklahoma; Dalton Gilbert, Russellville, AR; 1 sister, Lacey Gilbert, Russellville, AR; best friend and sister, Jaymee Burnam, Elk City, OK; grandparents, Alvin and Kathy Higgins, Sayre, OK; Mike and Kay Gilbert, Electra, Texas; Occie and Jarellynn Tarver, Sentinel, Oklahoma; Bud and Gayle Woodard, McKinney, Texas; Cletus Rhodes, Durham, Oklahoma; Linda and Larry Lambert, Vernon, Texas; Dick and Pam Bell, Vernon, Texas; great grandparents, Delores and Preston Stidham, Porterville, California; Ruby Higginbotham, Coleman, OK; Dorothy Gilbert, Electra, TX; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Monday, February 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Grandview Assembly of God Church officiated by J.M. Ashley and Josh White. Burial was held at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.
