Hester was born August 2, 1944 in Sayre, Oklahoma and passed away on January 26, 2008. He attended grade school in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He graduated from Cal Farley's Boys Ranch High School, Amarillo, Texas in 1961. From 1965 - 2005 Galen worked on a dairy as a milker in Hanfordd California. He currently was working for Arwood Furniture in Oklahoma City. Survivors include his mother, Hazel Woodward Cockrun; 1 brother, Thomas P. Hester of Oklahoma City; 2 sistes, Donna Kay Gates Underwood of Oklahoma City and Dale Gates Logan of Jacks Creek, Tennessee. His final resting place will be at the Boy's Ranch Cemetery.
