Mrs. Williams was born in Hancock Co., Tenn., to Thomas W. and Elizabeth Hayes Winstead, and died July 27, 1990 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. She moved with her family to Hammon in 1910 and lived there until she moved to Butler in 1936. In 1957 she moved to Clinton and has lived there since that time. In 1926, she married Ardie Metheny, who preceded her in death in 1947. She married Bryan Williams in 1958 and he preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by four sons, Millard Metheny, Clinton, Lynn Metheny, Mustang, Dean Metheny, Gladwater, Texas, and Bryon Lee Metheny, Monroe, La., two daughters Geneva Moore, Page, AZ, and Nyda Grey, Nashville, Ark.; a brother, Jim Winstead, Strasburg, Va.; two sisters, Dovie Cook, Strawberry Plans, Tenn. and Morric Stancel, Elk Cit! y; 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Marvin Winston. Burial was in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
