He was a member of the Reydon Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Robert Eugene Barton, II and 1 infant daughter, Eugenia Renee Barton. Survived by 1 Son, David Barton and wife, Verla, Reydon, OK; 1 Daughter-in-law, Lisa Barton, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; 1 Sister, Yonzell Vogt, Weatherford, Oklahoma; 3 Brothers, Ray Barton and wife, Georgetta, McAlester, OK, and Jack Barton and wife, Joanne, Clarendon, TX, and Jim R. Barton and wife, Alice, Arapaho, Oklahoma; 7 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchilddren, Special friend, Sam Hardy, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held November 13, 2008 at 21:00 pm at Cheyenne First Baptist Church, interment in Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Oklahoma under the direction of Cheyenne Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
