She passed from this life June 30, 2008 at the age of 83 years and 5 days. She was voted the Queen of Western Swing Music in 2006, and honor she cherished with all her heart. She is survived by her husband Harry Coffman of Oklahoma City, one stepdaughter Pauletta Lapsley and her husband Wayne of Holly Ranch, Texas, 2 grandsons, and one great grandson, one sister Effie Mae Hasty and her husband J.C. of Yukon, one brother Calvin Simpson and his wife Mada of Oklahoma City, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by both her father and mother Curtis and Ila Simpson and many uncles and aunts and cousins.
