Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Brad Foster officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas. The family will be at 602 Bailey, Dumas, Texas. Bill Jonesa was born March 17, 1930 in Reydon, Oklahoma to R.Bruce and Ophelia Maltby Jones. He married Marion Cline, April 5, 1948 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma who preceded him in death June 7, 2006. Bill graduated Reydon Oklahoma High School in 1948. He worked at American Zinc in Dumas from 1951-1970. He also worked at the City of Dumas retiring as City Inspector in 1994. Bill was an avid follower of Dumas school sports, especially girl's volleyball and basketball. He is survived by his daughter, Fran and her husband Jim Hutcherson of Dumas, three sons, Bill Jones and his wife Sue of Ft. Worth, Texas, Wayne Jones of Borger, Texas, Tom Jones and his wife Marci of Amarillo, Texas; Grandchildren, Cory and Jennifer Hudson of Alabama, Jimmy and Nichole Hutcherson of Dumas, Cary Jones of Colorado, Brandon Jones of Colorado, Chanel Wells of Amarillo, Breck Jones of Dallas, Jordan Jones of Amarillo, Hannah Jones of Amarillo, Adrian Jones of Ft. Worth, two step granddaughters, Jacque Ahola of Dumas, Melony Self of Amarillo, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. The family suggests memorials be to the Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, Texas 79029, or Meals on Wheels, 310 ED. lst Dumas, Texas, 79029.
