Freeman. She passed away March 31, 2008 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 100 years, 4 months and 12 days. Meddie's parents passed away when she was 16 and she moved to Okemah, Oklahoma and began living with her aunt. She married Thomas Jackson Bradley at Okemah, Oklahoma on March 3, 1925. They lived in Mason, Oklahoma before moving to the Cheyenne community in 1943. Meddie worked at the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital as a nurses aide and continued until her retirement. She moved to the Cheyenne Nursing Center before moving to the Hensley Nursing Home in June of 2005 to make her home. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church Okemah, Oklahoma where she taught Sunday School and played the piano. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sons, Glen, Sam and Billy, 10 brothers and sisters, 1 great grandson, Chris Bradley, 1 son-in-law Rebel Laxton and 1 daughter-in-law, Barbara Bradley. Services will be held Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Cheyenne First Baptist Church officiated by Michael Larsen and Jay Farber. Burial will be at Cheyenne Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Cheyenne. Sruvivors include 3 daughters Gerry Bowers and husband, Charles, Erma Jean Barber both of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Betty Laxton, Sayre, Oklahoma; 1 son Jack Bradley, Norman, Oklahoma, 3 daughters-in-law Wanda Bradley, Ruthie Bradley both of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Romona Bradley, Red Oak, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, host of other relatives and friends.
