Burial will be in Patterson District Cemetery. A native of Oklahoma, he had lived in the Patterson area off and on since 1931. He was engaged in the trucking business. He leaves his widow, Edith of Salinas, a son, Ron Hicks of Patterson; a daughter Patricia Thompson of Modesto, five brothers, Roy, Frank, Warren and J.D. Hicks, all of Patterson, and Boyd Hicks of Salinas; two sisters, Winifred Hendricks of Oregon and Erma Carey of San Francisco; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
