Frank Scofield and Rev. Daris M. Parker officiating. Born December 10, 1875 in Arkansasx. Mrs. Dawkins was married to John Cance in Texas in 1893. After his death, she was married to J.M. Dawkins in 1906 in Cheyenne. She came to western Oklahoma in 1905 and settled at Cheyenne where she made her home until 1955 when she moved to Saayre. She was a member of the Sayre Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by both husbands, three daughters and one son. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Johnnie Martin, Sayre; Mrs. Edna Dodson and Mrs. Alva Ward, Cheyenne; three sons, Irvin Dawkins, Sayre; Guy Dawkins, Oklahoma City; and Tom Chance, Sacramento, California; 28 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. Committal was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with the Moore Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
