He was the son of Anthony and Louisa Frankford. He was united in marriage to Hattie M. Gates in February 1898. To this union was born 5 children: Dewey, who died in infancy, Fred W., Lakeport, California; Ruben W., who passed away in 1949; Raymond J. of Cheyenne; Mary L. Dickey, Myrtle Point, Oregon; 7 grandchildren and 17 great grand children. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Marion and Tom and one sister, Anna Huddleston. They came to Oklahoma in 1902 and homesteaded on a farm at Dempsey, where he was engaged in farming until the last few years when illness caused them to retire and move into Cheyenne. Services were held at the First Baptist church, Cheyenne, Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. and burila in Dempsey cemetery, Dempsey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Moore funeral home in charge of arrangements.
