On May 4, 1904 she was married to James L. Mitchell and to this union were born nine children. One daughter, Betty Jo Baker, preceded her in death on August 8, 1956. She was a devoted wife and mother and life-long member of the Methodist church. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, four sons J.D., Bill, John, George and four daughters, Marjorie King, Alene Penrod, Marilena Fritch, Kathryn Talley, 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a great number of friends. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, december 29, 1960 in the Methodist church in Cheyenne with Rev. A.L. Martin of Crawford officiating. Interment was in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. The Mitchells resided in Roger Mills County for a number of years before moving to Hobart a few years ago.
