Services were held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. T.R. Louthan officiating. Born May 28, 1890 at Clover Bottom, Kentucky, Mrs. Ely was married to H.C. Ely in 1913 in Vera, Kentucky. They came to the Doxey community in 1917. They moved to the Cheyenne community in 1927. She has been a member of the church of the Nazerene since 1930. Survivors are the husband of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Jane Schmidt, Sweetwater, Mrs. Frankie Tidwell, Grimes, Mrs. Deaton Williams, Sayre; two sons, Hiram of Cheyenne, Leonard with the U.S. Armed forces in Germany; four brothers Charlie Abney, Marriel, Kentucky, Leonard Abney, Brier, Kentucky, Roy Abnye of Iowa, Dennie Abney of Wyoming; one sister, Mrs. S.C. Owens, Brier, Kentucky; 25 grandchildren. Pall bearersa were Willie Mutschier, Steve Schmidt, Charlie Myers, Jodie Peters, Grover Parman and Lloyd Fanshier. Interment was in the Dempsey cemetery, Dempsey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK 22-Aug-1963
