Committal was in the Fairview cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins and Son Funeral Home. Mr. Hawkins died December 14, 1963 in the Memorial Hospital in Elk City. J. Frank Hawkins was born in Tennessee January 1, 1898. On February 8, 1919 he was married to Lena Mae Bachmann. The couple had resided in the Durham community for many years. Immediate survivors include the wife of the home address; two daughters, Mrs. A.J. McCormick of Casper, Wylming and Mrs. T.J. Goodwin of Canadian, Texas, two sons, Mike Hawkins of Durham and J.M. Hawkins of Grants, New Mexico; three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Lee Hawkins of Verden, Mrs. Pauline Barnes of McAlester and Mrs. Bobbie Ruth Holmes of Hansford, California; and one brother Merton Hawkins of Ninnekah.
