At the age of 17 years his parents moved to Oklahoma City where he attended Central High School and finished the 11th grade. One September 30, 1916 he was united to Agnes Daglish in marriage. In 1937 he with his family moved to Roger Mills County and resided here until his death. His parents, 1 sister and 1 son preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Mrs. agnes Rice, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Rice, Altus, Oklahoma, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Daniel, Oklahoma City, Kenneth Rice, Cheyenne, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Rice, Edmond, Oklahoma, Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Kovar, Altus, Oklahoma, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rice, Oklahoma City, 13 grandchildren, 7 sisters and 1 brother.
