He died at the Cheyenne Convalescent Hospital on September 23, 1960, at the age of almost 93 years. He is survived by one brother and one sister, W.T. Kirk of Sayre, and Mrs. Lydia O'Brien of Amarillo, Texas. He had lived in Roger Mills County for the past 40 years. He was buried in the Berlin cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
