As a child, Winnie worked the Roger Mills County, home farm with family members growing cotton and making a life in rural Oklahoma. She was a star basketball player who later married her coach, teacher and local pastor, Carl. She went on to served as a U.S. Air Force Chapliln's wife, a Choctaw school administrator's wife, and loving helpmate to Carl for 53- years. A wondderful mother who worked full-time while caring for her home and faamily, she retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co. with 20-years service and also worked at John A. Brown and OU Medical Center. She traveled the world with her husband, daughter and son-in-law. In later years, she enjoyed antiquing, shopping, watching her soaps on TV and NASCARF races. Winnie had a good life and was a beloved wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Winnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl L. Mabra, son Greg Mabra, brother Orval Cofer and son-in-law Richard Pendergraft. She is survived by her loving family, sister Louise Lee of Del City, sister-in-law Ruth Cofer Morgan of Edmond, daughter Cookie Pendergraft of Fort Worth, Texas, son Larry Robert Mabra of Choctaw, granddsons Steve Pendergraft and wife Laura of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jeff Pendeergraft and wife Suzy of Castle Rock, Colorado, and four loving great grandchilddren Colby, A! udrey, Allison and Lexi Pendergraft; three nieces, Mary Leonard, Nancy Norsworthy, Brenda Butz and nephew Ken Cofer. Family visitation Thurs., May 25 at 6:30 pm at Hibbs Funeral Home, 2190 N. Harper Rd., Choctaw with funeral services at 10 am. Friday, May 26, 2006. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK 1-Jun-2006
