Funeral services were conducted at the Scroggins Chapel in Cheyenne Sunday afternoon with Rev. Loel Briggs directing the services. Casket bearers were George Gantz, Guy Hensley, Will Gantz, and Theo Lutz, all of Durham; Eugene Porter, Canadian, Texas;; and William G. Shufeldt, Cheyenne. Burial was in the Cheyenne cemetery. He was married to Miss Alda Yorborough on November 29, 1896 at Iowa City, Iowa, and to this union were born three children, two daughters and one son. The children are Lillian Chapman, Wilton, Iowa; and Alda Crew, Iowa City, Iowa, and he son is Malvin E. Rarick, Laurel, Montana. Also surviving him are his borther, John Rarick, Iowa City, Iowa and one grandson, William E. C hapman, Wilton Iowa and other relatives and friends. Mr. Rarick came to the Durham community about the year 1900 and homesteaded. He resided there until about two years ago when he moved to Cheyenne. He suffered a paralytic stroke early this year from which he never fully recovered. A daughter, Mrs. Howard Crew and husband of Des Moines, Iowas was here for the funeral services.
