He passed away September 17, 2006 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years, 4 months and 9 days. Dalton attended schoold at Hammon and graduated from Hammon High School in 1967. He was married to Carolyn Potts at Wheeler, Texas on February 15, 1969. He worked in the oilfield and farmed until 1994 when he joined the Roger Mills Sheriff's Department. He served as a Deputy until his health failed and he retired in 2005. During his days off, he drove a truck for Farmer's Supply. Dalton loved to work and he loved people. He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther, 1 son, Daniel Leon Burrows, and a stepbrother, Rickey Collins. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of the home, 1 daughter, Danita Cloud and husband, Brandon, Elk City, Oklahoma; 1 son, Dustin Burrows and wife, Laura, Elk City, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren, Rowdy, Ty and Riley Cloud, his father, R.D. "Curley" Burrows and wife, Gayle, Hammon, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Teresea Chaney and husband, Bert, Hammon, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Larry Burrows and wife, Mira, Lone Wolf, Oklahoma; step brother, Ronnie Collins and wife, Patti, Altus, Oklahoma; 1 step sister, Rhonda Goforth and husband Glen, Altus, Oklahoma; his mothehr and father-in-law, Norman and June Widener, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; many nieces, nephwews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held September 19, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grandview Church in Elk City officiated by Pastor Josh White and Juanice Parkhurst. Burial will be at Kiowa Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne. Casket Bearers were Roger Mills County Sheriff's Department.
