He passed from this lifes on October 17, 2000 at the age of 78 years. Jack attended grade school at Trail and high school at Leedey, Oklahoma. He enjoyed the time he spent working on the family farm with his parents and brothers and sisters. Jack married Phyllis Coleman on April 21, 1941 in Taolga, Oklahoma. They farmed and ranched on the Trail flats until 1961 when they moved to Leedey, Oklahoma. In 1965, they movedd to Woodward, Oklahoma where they opened and ran a restaurant for 25 years. Then then moved to Hinton, Oklahoma and managed a convenience store. In July of 1991 they returned to their home in Leedey where they enjoyed renewing friendships. Jack enjoyed his family and working in the yard. He had a special hobby of playing the harmonica. Jack served in the Army from January of 1945 until June of 1946 and held the rank of sergeant at the time of his honorable discharge. Whiled serving he was honored with a good conduct medal, a victory ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, APT Ribbon, andc a Philippians Liberation Ribbon with one star. Jack was baptized May 8, 1949 and became a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phylllis Craig; his parents, L.C. and Pearl Craig; an adult sister, Ada Sue Skelton; an infant sister, Helen Jewel; and by five brothers Orville, Carl, Charlie, Lee and John Craig. Jack is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Welty and her husband Rex of Leedey; one son Ron Craig and his wife Barbara of Yukon, Oklahoma; two sisters, Billie Ruth Jones and her husband Louis of Leedey and Alyce Baker and husband Andy of Hemet, California; two brothers, James C Craig and his wife Leojeanne of Leedey, and Dave Craig and his wife Frances of Clifton, Colorado; one brother-in-law, Gene Coleman and his wife Oneta of Clinton, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Kim Miller, Dusty Welty, Bescky Dugger, Monty Welty, Regina Brunker and Kristgy Martin; five great grandchildren, Megan Miller, Jason Welty, Dillon Dugger, Knydal Dugger, and Kaylee Brunker; and also by many loved ones and friends. Services were held Saturday October 21, 2000 at the First Baptist Church in Leedey. Rev. Clyde Irving officiated and mucial renditions were given by Frannie McClendon and Linda Eakins. Services were arranged and conducted by Shaw Funeral Home. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK 26-Oct-2000
