His mother, Myrtle Burns died at his birth, and Mrs. Ida Combs of Cheyenne took him and cared for him until he was about 9 months of age. Then Mrs. J.E. Vincent and family took him ______(can't read) and was regarded by them as a member of the family. His father, Matthew F. Burns died in 1944. At the age of 12 years, Bobby as he was familiary known, gave his heart to God and joined the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Burns, of Pocatello, Idaho, and five brothers, John J. of Reydon, Taylor of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Francis, George and Wayne of Los Angeles. He passed away on May 9th, 1951, in the Pocatello, Idaho General Hospital, at the age of 25 years, 5 months, and 29 days. "The loved and loving son, brother and friend died before manhood's morning touched noon, and while the shadow still were falling toward the west. He had not passed on Life's highway the stone that marks the highest point; but being weary for a moment, he lay down by the wayside and using his burden for a pillow fell in that dreamless sleep that kisses down his eyelids still. While yet in love with life and raptured with the world he passed to silence and parthie drust. Yet, after all, it may be best, just in the happiest, sunnier hour of all the voyage while eager winds are kissing every sail, to dash against the unseen rock, and in an instant hear the billowsd roar over a sunken ship." "He added to the sum of human joy; and were enyone to whom he did some loving service to bring a blossom to his graved, he would sleep beneath wilderness of flowers.
