He died of heart attack a his home Saturday. Mr. Athas was born in Linn, Iowa, December 20, 1880 and moved to Oklahoma in 1900. He homesteaded in the Sweetwater community where he had lived for the past 44 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. C.W. Atha, Sweetwater; four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Barker and Mrs. Hazel McEntire, both of Reydon, Mrs. Myrtle Thompson, Sweetwater and Mrs. Lois Barker of Durham; two son, Rex and C.W. Jr., of Grimes; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Hughes, Pampa, Texas and Mrs. Stella Gleaves of Grimes; one brother, Luther Atha of Walsonburg, Colorado. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK 19-Aug-1948
