Bland was born July 27, 1873 in Ray County, Missouri. He was married to Mary Batchelor, daughger of Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Batchelor of Grimes, Oklahoma, Arpil 2, 1911. To this union were born six children, Lester age 16, John, age 15, Violet and Viola two younder sons, Darrell, age 11 and Ray, age 7. Mr. Bland professed faith in Christ and was baptized into the church by Rev. C.E. Rhoades May 23, 1929. He leaves behind to mourn his loss one brother, A.F. Bland of Cheyenne and tgwo sisters who live in Mo., besides his immediate family, also a host of friends to mourn his untimely going. He is gone but not forgotten. At Rest. Burial Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
