Wood, a pioneer resident of the Reydon community were held in the Reydon Community Building last Sunday afternoon. Rev. Horace Woodard had charge of the services. Committal was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne. Mrs. Wood died suddenly at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 1949 at her home. Cellia Magnolia Plemmons was born February 17, 1873 at Marshall, North Caolina. she departed shis life March 17, 1949 at the age of 76 years and one month. At an early age she united with the Baptist church and remained a member through her life. On December 11, 1891 she was united in marriage to John H. Wood at Ashville, North carolina. To this union were born 10 children, 3 of whom preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, John H. Woods of reydon; three sons, Asa Wood, Reydon; John M. Wood, Bardwell, Kentucky; Mike Wood; Reydon; and four daughters, Bertha Moon, Durham; Dessie Vann Volkinburg, Pawhuska, Oklahoma; Mary Teague, Napa, California; and Susie Vandagriff, Reydon. She also leaves 22 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one brother, Hagen Plemmons, Marshall, North Carolina. (Cheyenne Star March 24, 1949)
