There were born to this union 5 children of whom only 2 survive, Mrs. J.L. Ivy, Cheyenne and T.B. Sims of the Roll community. His first wife having passed away in 1884, he married again in 1887 to Louise Green. To this union there were born 6 children of which 4 survive. He has been a member of the Methodist church since 1872. He has been a faithful follower of Christ and siad he never feared death in the least. He leaves to mourn his death besides his children, one sister Mrs. M.R. Hill fo Dallas, Texas. 23 grandchildren and 14 great grand children besides distant relatives and many friends.
