He departed from this life October 26, 1929 at 7:15, age 31 years, 3 months and 19 days. He had the spinal meningitis at the age of 7 months and was left an invalid. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones. He leaves to mourn his death a mother, father, three brothers all who are living, Tom Chance, Irvin Dawkins and Guy Dawkins; six sisters, four who are living, who are: Mrs. May Day, Mrs. Johnnie Sutton, Mrs. Alva Ward, and Mrs. Edna Dodson,a ll who were present except Mrs. Day of Weleetka, Okla. Rev. Klophenstein of Berlin officiated at teh funeral and the Hullum funeral directors of Sayre were in charge. Burial was made in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. We know, although our hearts are sore he is gone to bloom in a happier land where sickness and sorrow come no more, to sing with the happy angel band.
