Susan Sampsel Lockard, born June 16, 1856 in Freemount, Ohio, married to Andrew Wilson Lockard September 10, 1875. Seven children were born to this union. She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church and lived a Christian life until her death March 20, 1918. She was a kind and loving mother, was loved by all who knew her. She was seventy-one years, 9 months, 3 days of age. Burial Fairview, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. (Cheyenne Star March 29, 1928)
