Mrs. Fannie Marshall, one of the residents of Berlin, died Sunday morning at 12:20, December 20, 1928. Funeral services were held at Berlin Sunday evening at 3 o'clock. Fannie Hanseler was born in New York City, New York, December 24, 1850. When she was six years of age her parents moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she lived until she was fifteen years old, then they moved to near Culver, Kansas. On December 24, 1870, she was married to Sylvester Marshall. They moved to Oklahoma in 1899, settling near Berlin. To this happy union were born eight children, six of whom are living. She is survived by five sons and one daughter, Mr. Jim, John, Dennis, Henry and Verster Marshall and Mrs. Francis Hill, forty grand children and two great grandchildren. Her husband passed away June 21, 1925. Since then she has made her home with her children living most of the time with her son Jim Marshall on the old home place. During her many years residence near Berlin she gained a wide acquaintance and was highly respected and loved by all who knew her. Burial Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
