Keller was born January 31, 1854, near Chattanooga, Tenn. He moved to Texas at the age of fifteen years. In 1900 he moved to Roger Mills County and has been a resident of this county since. He passed away Tuesday, November 1, 1927 at the home of his son, John Keller in Cheyenne, after a lingering illness of several months. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist church of Cheyenne with Rev. C.C. Wilson, pastor, preaching the funeral sermon. A large crowd of friends from Cheyenne, Durham and the Square Top community was present at the funeral. Interment was made in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with J.H.Tunnard, local undertaker, in charge. Tom Keller was a good hearted man who would do anything for a friend. He stood fast by the principles in which he believed. He united with the Methodist church in 1889. During the past six months he lived and prayed for salvation, and died happily, leaving behind the testimony that he had left his old sinful life behing. He leaves his wife and four children who are: John Keller of Cheyenne, Bud Keller, Flossie Mangold and Opal Foster, all of Durham, and a host of grandchildren. (Cheyenne Star November 3, 1927)
