Bauman, was born in Harrison county, Indiana, March 18, 1841 and passed from this life April 30, 1929 at the age of 88 years, one month and twelve days. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church, May 2, 1929, Rev. Rhoads officiating, Burial in Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. J.H. Tunnard, funeral director in charge. Delilah E. Bauman, was married to Thomas Bauman, at the age of nineteen, and to this union was born eight children, three of whom have preceeded her to the great beyond. She was united with the Methodist Church in Lampasas, Texas, in 1885 later uniting with the Christian Church and lived a good, true Christian life. She leaves five children to mourn her departure: W.M. Bauman, M.E. Bauman, O.A. Bauman, Mrs. S.F. Maddux, all of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and Mrs. Nancy A. Harman of Dustin, Oklahoma, also twenty grandchildren, and nine great grand-children besides a host of friends. She was ever a true mother, neighbor and friend and loved by all who knew her, and her place can never be filled. Her life was a true example for all and in passing we know she has gone to rest, where there is no more suffering and all is well. To us, her children, she is gone physically but her spirit lives with us on and on, to guide us through the year that shall pass until at last we are reunited at the feet of Jesus.
