Kendall and Miss Lola Simmons of Cheyenne sympathize with them in the loss of their father the first of the week. Henry Walter Simmons was born August 27, 1880, died April 21, 1929, age 48 years, 8 months and 4 days. He was married to Miss Emma Morton June 9, 1901, to this union were born three children, Margaret Elizabeth who died in infancy, Mrs. R.H. Kendall and Lola Simmons both of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. The wife of the deceased preceeded him in death March 2, 1906. In 1907 he married Miss Lena Clark and to this union were born seven children, Mrs. N.H. Baahr, St. Louis, Mo.; Clarence and Lloyd Simmons, Tucson, Arpzona; Floyd Simmons, LeFors, Texas; Mary and Elizabeth Simmons, Foss, Oklahoma; L.W. Simmons, Joplin, Texas. The wife of the deceased preceeded him in death March 30, 1921. His daughter Lola, went to Tucson recently, where he had gone for his health and he requested that he be moved to Oklahoma to spend his last days and he also requested that his body be laid to rest in the Red Hill cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. During the last week of his illness he professed belief in Christ and was bpatized by Rev. Tom Brobham, the Methodist minister of pampa, Texas. The deceased leaves nine children; one grand-daughter, two brothers, G.W. Simmons of Little Blue, Mo., and A.W. Simmons of LeFors, Texas and two sisters Mrs. Wiley Gunter and Mrs. Elmer Wilker of Elk City, Oklahoma, als oa host of nephews, nieces and a great host of friends. A beautiful funeral service was conducted by Rev. Rhoads, the Methodist minister of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Manday April 22, 1929, at the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Oklahoma. The Hammon choir conducted the son service which was beautifully rendered. There was an immense gathering for an outside service people from distances as, Foss, Carpenter, Strong City, Elk City, Cheyenne and Pampa, Texas, also many friends from Hammon and surrounding country.
