He lived his life in the Reydon community, going to school until he finished the 4th grade, at which time he was taken ill, from then on everything that could be done, was done to make him well again. All her knew and loved him. He was a grand little solider through his illness, endearing himself to all the doctors and nurses and those who cared for him during that time. He leaves to mourn his passing his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest A. Yowell, two sisters, Dorothy faye and Mary beth and a baby brother, Clark Elwin, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F.B. Yowell and J.D. Cannon and a host of relatives and many friends. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 15, 1947 at 3 p.m. at the Community building with Rev. Horace Woodard, pastor of the Baptist church, delivering the sermon to a large crowd. Interment was in White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with the Fatheree Funeral Home in charge. Eight girls from his class were flower girls. (Cheyenne Star March 20, 1947)
