She was married to W.M. Porterfield on October 10, 1906. She leaves to mourn her departure husband, eight children, father, four brothers, two sisters, besides other relatives and many, many friends. The funeral occured at the Baker cemeterin in Union Ceneter District, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, Sunday January 2, 1927 at 10 o'clock with Rev. Settle of Strong City conducting the service after which the body was laid to rest to await the resurrection morning. (Cheyenne Star January 6, 1927)
