He is survived by his wife, Eva, and five children, Georgene Rogers, Riley Ray, LaVerna Howard and Forrest and two grandchildren, all of Dumas, Texas. Four sisters survive who are Dosha Bryant, Paoli, Oklahoma, Ardie Duke and Hattie Lackey of Dumas, Texas and May Clark of Englewood, Calif., and a host of other relatives. Burial was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. (Cheyenne Star Dec. 18, 1947)
