He spent the early part of his life in Nebraska and moved to Houston, Texas where he was united in marriaage to Addie Lazetta Hamm. They moved to klahoma in 1900 and homesteaded at Old Rome. To this union seven children were born, one son, J.D. having preceded him in death in 1929. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of the home address, Roger Allen, Oregon; Edna Conner, Strong City; Hazel Kimzey, Cheyenne; Berniece Phillips, California; Paul Allen, of Strong City; and Reuben Allen, Nevada; twenty-six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two nieces, and a host of friends. He was a charter member of the old Roll Masonic Lodge. In the last few days of his life, he united Christ as his Saviour. Interment in the Red Star Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
