He was united in marriage to Susan K. Snyder April 5, 1893 at Hamlin, Iowa and to this union 5 children were born. He with his family came to Western Oklahoma in 1903 and settled near old Rankin where he has lived since being one of oklahoma's pioneers. He was a member of the Methodist church. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Margaaret E. Clay of Reydon, Oklahoma; two sons, Lester V. Miller of Reydon, Oklahoma, Vernal L. Miller of Reydon, Oklahoma; two brothers Lloyd Miller of Lane, South Dakota, Oscar Miller of Audubon, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandcildren, other relatives and many friends. The funeral services were held at the Reydon community building Thursday, July 16, 1953 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. J.L. Davis and Rev. Horace Woodard officiating with interment in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with the Moore Funeral Home of Reydon in charge. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
